INDIA & GLOBAL AFFAIRS (IGA) is a quarterly magazine being published by the Sakaal Group of Publications. It reaches out to leaders of Government, business and the media in key nations throughout the world and offers them primarily Indian perspectives on issues of global interest and concern. These include foreign policy and strategic matters, economics and business, environment and energy, technology and culture, education and public health. The magazine will seek to highlight how developments in any one of these areas impact on developments in other areas.

Amartya Sen, a Nobel Prize winner in Economics, is the Lamont University Professor and a Professor of Economics and Philosophy at Harvard University.

 

Amit Mitra is Secretary-General, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. He was conferred the Padma Shree in 2008.

Amitabh Mattoo is Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu and a governing council member of Pugwash. Recipient of India’s Padma Shree award, he serves as a director of India-Afghanistan Foundation.

 

Balaji Tambe is a renowned Ayurvedic physician. He has dedicated his life to promoting a holistic lifestyle and Ayurvedic knowledge across the world.

 

Isher Judge Ahluwalia is Chair-person of the Board of Governors of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), New Delhi.

 

Jagdish N. Bhagwati is University Professor, Economics Department, Columbia University and a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, New York.

 

Kanti Bajpai is an expert on foreign policy and strategic affairs and Head-master of The Doon School, India.

 

Kiran Karnik is a member of the Scientific Advisory Council to the Indian Prime Minister. He is a former president of NASSCOM and has also worked in ISRO for over two decades.

 

K. Raghunath has served as India’s Foreign Secretary.

Raja Menon is a retired Rear Admiral of the Indian Navy and is one of the leading strategic affairs analysts.

 

K. Subrahmanyam is a former director of the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses and India’s leading strategic analyst.

R.K. Pachauri is Director-General of The Energy and Resources Institute, India and Chairman of IPCC, a world body, which won the Nobel Peace prize in 2007.

 

Shabana Azmi is a widely acclaimed film and theatre actor and an untiring crusader for human rights.

Sunil Bharti Mittal is Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Airtel Limited and Co-Chairman of the Indo-U.S. Joint Business Council, and executive committee member of FICCI.

 

Vijay Kelkar has held senior positions both in the Government of India and in the IMF. He is currently Chairman, 13th Finance Commission.
